Dr. Coppola

Veterinary Intern

Dr. Coppola, a native of South Jersey, completed her undergraduate studies at Marymount University in Northern Virginia obtaining her bachelor’s in history with concentrations in art history and sustainability. She continued her education in veterinary medicine, earning her DVM from St. George’s University on the beautiful island, Grenada, in 2026.

During her time at St. George’s, Dr. Coppola was an active member of clubs that branched human and veterinary medicine such as Infectious Disease Society and was the Vice President  of the Public Health Association. Both these clubs were active members of the Grenadian community providing health resources to people and animals alike. Dr. Coppola loves to devote her time towards community education and advocates for bridging knowledge gaps.

During time away from school, Dr. Coppola participated in summer research programs with the USDA and John Hopkins for projects involving Blue Tongue Virus and Radiopharmaceutical therapies. She also has a love for field work and has helped post-doctoral graduate students collect data on wild snakes in Virginia and her Virology professor collect data on wild bats in Grenada.

Her clinical interests include feline medicine, exotic animal medicine, public health, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and client education. She is a Cat Friendly Veterinary certified by Feline VMA.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Coppola loves to spend time with friends, family, and her two cats. She loves to be outdoors, especially by bodies of water so she can paddle board or kayak. Her favorite thing is to learn new skills or hobbies, such as snowboarding which she picked up during her clinical rotations in Wisconsin!
